Pakistani media’s perception of Bhutto

The Pakistani media’s perception of Bhutto prior to her death was very different from how they portrayed her after her death.

The following image is a picture I took in Pakistan of a newspaper printed the day of Bhutto’s assassination (but prior to her assassination).

The next day, the same news source printed a whole edition as a tribute to Bhutto. They had a huge picture of her at the political gathering she was at just minutes before her death, and then inside they had her whole life story with pictures from her wedding and whatnot.

And the next day, all my aunts and uncles are sitting around talking about aah what a great person that Benazir was…
